The ‘Pani Sanbhalo’ campaign focuses on rainwater management with the aim of channeling water orderly with groundwater in Sanganer, Jaipur. The first step involves creating a plan for both individual and communal scenarios. According to the plan, rainwater collected from roofs or other shelters is directed through pipes into a specially designed or modified soak pit, ensuring it reaches an appropriate depth underground, safely distanced from the tubewell. It’s crucial to clean the shelters thoroughly before the rainy season begins to ensure the system functions optimally. This approach helps in sustainable water conservation, management, and groundwater recharge.
